Who are we? Small Difference Women's Choral Ensemble is a group of women of all orientations who are dedicated to performing music that has a message. It is one way the members have channeled their activism to change this world for the better. We sing songs for peace & justice, lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender equality, women's liberation, the environment, and human rights for all. We are a proud member of Sister Singers Network and GALA (the Gay & Lesbian Association of Choruses). What makes this group different is its structure. This chorus is smaller, tighter, and holistically run. Everyone is on the board so we all make decisions about the group and whenever possible, by consensus. Our music has a very definite political focus and we are also interested in singing some international music, especially tunes that are significant for women around the world. We took our name from the song “Small Difference,” by Robin Riebsomer, which has been performed by many women's choruses around the world. We are creating a group where everyone is nurtured by everyone else, where we can develop a special connection – spiritual for some, humanistic for all. We are all committed to dealing with any issues that come up between us in a loving, open, and honest way in our best effort to avoid disruptive politics and personal issues. SDWCE Mission Statement:Small Difference Women’s Choral Ensemble is a diverse group of women who love to sing. When we raise our voices in song...
